New Button Sensor Kit and Harness Adapter for Daikin VRV Indoor Unit Remote Temperature Sensor

by HVAC Distributors

Daikin has released Service Bulletin D-NP-PC-2780  announcing a new button sensor kit and harness adapter for VRV indoor unit remote temperature sensor.

From Daikin:

We are pleased to announce availability of the updated Button Sensor Kit (KRCSH2018-02), which replaces the current model (KRCSH2018-01). The new Button Sensor Kit includes two additional Harness Adapters to add compatibility with new VRV indoor unit models.

Documentation for the New Button Sensor Kit can be downloaded from Daikin City by going to Daikin City Library* or the Button Sensor Kit (KRCSH2018-02) product page in Daikin City*.

VRV indoor units allow for a remote sensor to be installed to sense the room temperature at a different location. This can be beneficial when the indoor unit is installed where the thermostat’s internal sensor will not provide an accurate room temperature reading.

The new button sensor kit is compatible with current indoor models but adds support for new indoor models with the additional harness adapters included. The compatible units are listed in the following table.

The new Harness Kit (WH-KRCS4B25B6B) includes two adapter harnesses for compatibility with the indoor VRV models in the table below.
