New Daikin ONE+ Smart Thermostat Options for Goodman Systems
by HVAC Distributors July 16, 2024Daikin has announced the ONE+ Thermostat now has increased system compatibility. Daikin ONE+ thermostats are now compatible with Goodman brand communicating unitary equipment and can be substituted for the Goodman brand GTST thermostat without exception.

We are pleased to announce new thermostat options for Goodman contractors and distributors. To provide homeowners with opportunities to upgrade their experience interacting with their systems, Daikin ONE+ smart thermostats and Daikin ONE touch smart thermostats may now be offered by Goodman contractors and distributors as an upgrade option to Goodman GTST thermostats. Daikin ONE+ and Daikin ONE touch smart thermostats are compatible with Goodman communicating unitary equipment and can be substituted for the Goodman GTST without exception. The Goodman GTST thermostat remains readily available as an option for Goodman dealers.
The Daikin ONE+ smart thermostat and Daikin ONE touch smart thermostat offer several unique features that differentiate them from the Goodman GTST, as shown in the table below.
Note that the Daikin ONE+ and Daikin ONE touch smart thermostats are branded with “Daikin” on the thermostats, and there will not be Goodman branded versions. This must be explained to homeowners to minimize potential confusion.
