New Amana ASXH3 and ASXN3 Condensers

As part of the transition to SEER2 equipment, Daikin Comfort Technologies is introducing two new 13.4 SEER2 condensers – the ASXH3 (replaces the ASX13) and the ASXN3 (replaces the ANX13).
How will the transition work?
We have a few sizes (1.5 and 5 ton) of the ANX13 left and a large inventory of the ASX13. We expect that we have enough of the ASX13 to take us into the Spring. We will start bringing in the new ASXN3 and ASXH3 when we run down our inventory of the older models.
The Regional Impact Of This Change
Sales of the ANX13 and ASX13 and the new ASXN3 and ASXH3 are now limited to the DOE North Region (In HVAC Distributors’ footprint, this is Pennsylvania, New York, and West Virginia). Contractors in this region can continue to sell and install the ANX13 and ASX13 as long as they are available. Contractors in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware will need to install the ASXN4 and ASXH4. Refer to the “N” in position 6 of the model number of the ASXH3 and ASXN3 for the region.

AHRI Ratings
Contractors in PA/NY/WV can continue to sell the ANX13 and ASX13 with the old ratings. The ratings in the AHRI Directory for the ANX13 and ASX13 may show the status as “Production Stopped”, but the rating is still valid. It just means that the manufacturer doesn’t make something in the rated system anymore. Ratings for the new ASXH3 and ASXN3 are available in the AHRI Directory, in the PartnerLink System Configurator, and in the “SEER2” price books we distribute to our customers.
