From Goodman:
Goodman has received a few reports of the *MVC80803 not making the high fire pressure switch, causing the furnace to fault into an E9 error code. Not all *MVC0803 units will experience the issue and this should be treated as a fix-on-fail only. We are not aware of any other *MVC8 models experiencing this issue.
If you have a furnace experiencing the E9 error code, we recommend changing the pressure switch to a 0130F00509. The set points on the 0130F00509 switch are -.65 on high fire and -.35 on low fire.
Effective February 2019 (1902 serial numbers), production will change to the 0130F00509 pressure switch on the *MVC80803 models. Please contact Service Parts to order the recommended replacement part number 0130F00509.
Goodman will provide labor at the servicers Class “A” labor rate for those units that are experiencing this issue.
Claims must be filed on Warranty Express as an Authorization type claim, using Authorization Code number 8761. The claim for the part and labor should be filed as one claim, using the Dealer’s account number.
Please consult the Warranty Department if you need assistance with this process. The claim will be paid upon review by the Warranty Department. Warranty Claims will be approved for equipment that is still covered under the terms of Standard Warranty. All claims for this project must be submitted by December 31, 2020.
