New “D” Cabinet Width on Goodman GMVC96 and Amana AMVC96 Furnaces
by HVAC Distributors August 7, 2017Goodman Manufacturing has expanded its furnace offering by adding a D-width (24-1/2”) to the popular GMVC96 and AMVC96 furnaces in the 100MBH, 5 ton size. Previously, these models have only been offered with the C-width (21″) cabinet.
The D-width cabinet allows a flush fit of the coil and furnace, which provides a cleaner installed appearance. C-width cabinet installations require 3.5″ of coil cabinet overhang in relation to the furnace (1.75″ each side).
