The review site rated a variety of air conditioner brands on the following:
- Average SEER rating (seasonal energy efficiency of the unit)
- Average Minimum sound levels
- Best Compressor Warranty
Amana was the top result for average SEER and for best compressor warranty. It was the second result in minimum sound levels, scoring lower than most brands and within 3 decibels of the quietest brand. (To hear the difference 3 decibels makes to sound levels, try this audio test)
