Coming Soon: Amana Inverter Product Line
by HVAC Distributors June 8, 2015Edited to add: Inverter Amana Air Conditioners are now in stock at HVAC Distributors and available for purchase for inverter-trained dealers.
Amana announced that it will be begin releasing its inverter line this summer.
Because this line uses different technology than traditional condensers and heat pumps, Amana-specific inverter training is required for contractors to be able to purchase this product line. HVAC Distributor’s inverter training schedule is available here.
The first inverter product – a 20 SEER inverter air conditioner (AVXC20) will be available in July 2015. The AVXC20 featuresDaikin’s inverter technology, which uses variable speed swing or scroll compressors and is covered by Amana’s limited lifetime unit replacement warranty.*
The AVXC20 air conditioners can be paired with a coil and variable speed furnace or with the new AVPVC air handler. They must be installed with the ComfortNet™ CTK04 thermostat, which is integral to system installation. All Amana inverter systems (including heat pumps, also coming soon) require the CTK04.
Product specification sheets, installation instructions, parts & service manuals, and consumer brochures are available on PartnerLink. System ratings are currently available in AHRI. You can also use the System Configurator on PartnerLink (under Dealer Toolkit) to quickly find AHRI approved match-ups.
*Complete warranty details available from your local dealer or at www.amana-hac.com. To receive the limited lifetime unit replacement warranty (good for as long as the homeowner owns their home) and 10-year parts limited warranty, online registration must be completed within 60 days of installation.
