Daikin VRV IV S-Series and VRV LIFE Outdoor Unit Transition

Daikin is transitioning to an updated version of the VRV IV S-Series outdoor unit (RXTQ) and VRV LIFE outdoor unit (RXSQ). Here’s the updates:

VRV IV S-Series (RXTQ)

• All sizes have been updated to be SEER2 rated and meet the new DOE efficiency requirements that went into effect January 1, 2023.
• The new version of the 5 ton size (RXTQ60TBVJUA) has improved piping length capabilities.
• Pricing and warranty are unchanged from old to new.
• Both old and new RXTQ models are compatible with the same indoor units.

VRV LIFE (RXSQ)

• All sizes have been updated to be SEER2 rated and meet the new DOE efficiency requirements that went into effect January 1, 2023.
• Pricing and warranty are unchanged from old to new.
• Both old and new RXSQ models are compatible with the same indoor units.

Transition

HVAC Distributors will sell through the old models, then change to new models when inventory is depleted.
