Dip Switch Settings on Inverter 18 & 20 SEER Split Systems

Dip Switch Settings on Inverter 18 & 20 SEER Split Systems

by HVAC Distributors

Amana has recently released Service Bulletin SR-064 regarding dip switch settings on Inverter 18 & 20 SEER split systems DZ18VC0**1A*, DZ20VC0**1A, DX20VC0**1A*, AVXC200**1A* and AVZC200**1A* Models.

From Amana:

Technical Services has received information from the field relative to installed units where the Dip Switches were set in the wrong position from the factory or changed in the field causing the unit to run before the System Test was initiated. Improper DS2 dip switch settings could result in condenser operation at power up prior to System Test and can be perceived as a faulty control board (PCB). Please verify DS2 dip switch settings before replacing the PCB.

Switches 1 and 2 in switch bank DS2 must be in the ON position for normal operation on 20 SEER AVZC200**1A* and AVXC200**1A* models. The table below explains the proper dip switch arrangement for the two DS dip switch banks on the 20 SEER models.Capture

The factory default setting can be verified on the wiring diagram which is attached to the control panel cover and in the installation and operation manual. The Dip Switch settings can also be found in the Service Manual for these products. These settings are being added to a revised I&O – Installation and Operation manual, which is due out in 2-4 weeks.
