Getting The Right Tools for A2L Refrigerant

Most refrigeration tools work just fine with all refrigerants, however, some older tools, such as Recovery Machines, Vacuum Pumps, Manifolds, and Leak Detectors, may have an issue with compatibility. When working with A2L refrigerant, contractors should make sure the tools they are using are up to date.

Yellow Jacket TurboRecover Refrigerant Recovery Machine 95780

• This is compatible with both R410a and A2L refrigerants (R32 and R454b)
• There are a number of other improvements to this pump:
  • The motor is a 1.25 HP brushless DC motor for fast recovery
  • An integrated low-pressure switch automatically powers down the machine when the system reaches 10” w.g. of vacuum
  • Single control valve and status indicator LED

Bullet DC Vacuum Pump 93870

• This is compatible with both the current R410a AND A2L refrigerants (R-32 and R454b)
• Vacuum pumps last several years. If a new one is needed it should be a pump that is compatible with the new refrigerants
• Other improvements to this pump include:
  • The motor is a brushless DC motor for higher efficiency and reliability
  • It is over 20% lighter than AC motor-driven pumps
  • Improved oil sight glass, easier to see the oil level and condition
