Incorrect Primary Limit Switch in Daikin Light Commercial Rooftops (DFG)

It has come to our attention that certain commercial package rooftop models were produced with incorrect primary limit switches. A list of the affected gas/electric (DFG) models is shown below. This affects all equipment prior to serial number 2305143205.

Rework Required
For proper operation, the existing limit switch must be replaced with the new limit switch as identified in the table below for each model.
Warranty Claims for equipment installed prior to June 30th, 2023 (Code 8743):
Daikin will subsidize the cost of the replacement primary limit switch and pay a labor allowance of $150.00 for each unit reworked and installed prior to June 30th, 2023. Authorization code 8743 must be used for installed units. All units installed after June 30th, 2023, should have been reworked prior to sale or installation, and thus are not eligible for this labor reimbursement.
Claims must be filed in Warranty Express as an Authorization type claim, using Authorization Code 8743 for installed units and Code 8744 for uninstalled units. The claim for the part and labor should be filed as one claim, using the servicer’s account number. The model and serial number for each unit must be provided. Please consult the Warranty Department if you need assistance with this process. All claims for this project must be submitted by December 1, 2023.
