by HVAC Distributors December 16, 2016Goodman recently released Service Bulletin SA-029, regarding incorrectly labeled transformers affecting models AWUF, ACNF, ARPT, ARUF, ASPT, ASUF, AVPEC, AVPTC, AWUT, DVxx, FXTQ, MBR, MBVC, APC, APD, APG, APH, DCC, DCG, DCH, DPxx, DSC, DSG, DSH, DTC, DTG, DTH, GPC, GPD, GPG, and GPH.
From Goodman:
It has come to our attention that some recent Part# 0130M00138 transformers were incorrectly labeled. This could potentially affect the voltage adjustment from 240 volts to 208 volts. We are only aware of transformers on units serial date code 1609xxxxxx through 1612xxxxxx as potentially having incorrect labels.
Please refer to the illustrations of the transformers shown below and the listed instructions with each picture for proper wiring when adjusting the transformer from 240 volts to 208 volts. Incorrect wiring could result in damage to the transformer and 24 volt circuit components.
Note: No wiring change necessary if unit voltage is 240 volts. All product equipment is preset for 240 volts.
