Low Voltage Board Connectors on Communicating Condensing Units

Low Voltage Board Connectors on Communicating Condensing Units

by HVAC Distributors

Goodman has released a revision to Service Bulletin SF-036 concerning low voltage board connectors on communicating condensing units.

From Goodman:

The communicating controls in Goodman’s Furnaces, Split Condensers, Heat Pumps and Air Handlers are shipped with the required Phoenix connectors needed for connecting the low voltage wiring to these units. However, we understand these connectors can from time to time get misplaced preventing you from completing the installation; therefore, we have made these connectors available through service parts. Please refer to the following list for part numbers when ordering connectors:

  • Furnace and Air-Handler 9 pin connector: # F043067300S
  • Split Condenser or Heat Pump 7 pin connector: # F043067500S or 0130M00485
  • Communicating mode 4 pin connector: # F043067900S or 0130D00002
  • ComfortBridgeâ„¢ Control Platform Furnace 6 pin Connector: # F043068000S

July 2019 Revision:
As announced in PMN #C-PC-SP-1733, the introduction of the ComfortBridgeâ„¢ technology has minimized the need for the 7-pin connector with communicating condensing units. Beginning August 1, 2019, the 7-pin connector will be removed from the condensing units listed below. The 7-pin connector (Part numbers # F043067500S or 0130M00485) will continue to be available through service parts for 24 VAC, non-communicating applications.
