New DX11/DZ11 Daikin Light Commercial Models Available
by HVAC Distributors July 9, 2018Daikin has recently updated the DX11/DZ11 units to meet new performance standards. These are large 7.5 and 10 ton split systems used in small commercial buildings, churches, schools, and for specific industrial solutions.
These replace the older models that were discontinued at the end of 2017, and incorporate the following changes:

- Meet the new energy standards (effective 1/1/18)
- Comply with ASHRAE 90.1-2016
- All outdoor units now use 2-stage compressors
- All air handlers now use 2-speed blowers
- All air handlers are now voltage-specific

Note: Please be aware that new units are not backward compatible with older units (and vice versa).
