New Variable-Speed and TXV Equipped AMVT Air Handler

As part of the transition to SEER2 equipment, Daikin Comfort Technologies has introduced a new variable-speed, TXV-equipped air handler, the AMVT, to replace the AVPTC.

Features:

• Variable Speed ECM blower motor, with factory-installed TXV
• Multi-Position Horizontal or Vertical
• Sizes 24-42 have the new AlumaFin7-coils
• The coil is mounted on a track for quick repositioning for horizontal applications
• Commissioning and diagnostics can be done via on-board Bluetooth connection to the CoolCloud application on a phone or tablet
• 10 year parts limited warranty (registration required)

AHRI Matches

• Daikin has rated the AVPTC to both the SEER and SEER2 standards for a selection of outdoor units
• The AMVT is ONLY rated to the SEER2 standard.
• There is not a one-to-one match between the old AVPTC and new AMVT.

Transition

We expect the New AMVT units will start arriving Mid-April. Both the AVPTC and AMVT will be available.
