Goodman Manufacturing Introduces U.S. Alumacoil as Coil and Air Handler Manufacturer

Goodman Manufacturing issued Product Marketing News (PMN) C-GN-OT-972 announcing that safety and rating plates on common coils and air handlers will list U.S. Alumacoil™ as the manufacturer, starting with units produced August 2015.

U.S. Alumacoil is a registered business name (D/B/A) for Goodman Manufacturing Company, L.P.

The purpose of the change is to consolidate these common components under a neutral name to ensure that you can present systems as Amana, EverRest or your private label without the distraction of a different brand name on the common components. The products are still manufactured in Goodman’s U.S. facilities by Goodman Manufacturing.

According to the PMN, the name U.S. Alumacoil was chosen to celebrate Goodman Manufacturing’s continued focus on U.S.-based assembly and manufacturing facilities and the fact that Goodman was the first HVAC manufacturer to produce an All-Aluminum evaporator coil.

As an HVAC Distributors’ customer, please note that:

1. When you receive U.S. Alumacoil-branded product, it is the same Goodman®/Amana® common product that you have received from us in the past. AHRI ratings for the product are the same. Product model numbers are the same. The only change is the manufacturer listed on the safety and rating plate (U.S. Alumacoil instead of Goodman Manufacturing, L.P.).
2. The common unit carries the warranty of the outdoor unit brand.
3. If you re-badge your products with a private label, continue to do so with these products. If you would like to find out more about private labeling, contact us.
